City Palace

The City Palace is the most visited historical places in Udaipur. The City Palace constructed in the year of 1559 by a great ruler of Udaipur Maharana Udai Mirza Singh. It is famous for its history and architecture. You can visit here any day from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The royal palace is located on the bank of Pichola Lake. Lake Pichola

This lake man made in 1362 which is another wonder of the city. The sunset boat riding, visits to the Lake Palace and Lake Garden Palace are the things to do here. The Monsoon Palace

Fateh Sagar Lake

This is an artificial lake built by Maharana Fateh Singh of Mewar dynasty. It was built in 1680 in the north-west of Udaipur city. It is also counted in one of the best lakes in Rajasthan. Ekling Ji Temple

Ekling Ji temple is established by Bappa Rawal in 734 A.D. This is at the distance of almost 22 KM from Udaipur. Ekling Ji is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple’s architecture is remarkable. The whole temple has lots of small temples. The main temple is standing on the huge pillars and it is sheltered by the heavy pyramidal roof. Ekling Ji has been the main ruler of Mewar dynasty and all people go there and asks Shiva to filled their life with peace and happiness.

Gulab Bagh and Zoo

Gulab Bagh is located in the city area of Udaipur and as its name indicates it has a variety of well-maintained roses in the garden. It is a very famous tourist place of Udaipur city. The garden is spread in the large area and it also has a mini zoo inside the garden at walking distance. It has very few numbers of species of various animals but all are must be noticed. While you visit here, you can see many people jogging or doing pranayama in the very morning inside the garden area.

Saheliyo Ki Bari

Saheliyo ki Bari is also known as the garden of maidens. Maharana Sangram Singh made this garden for his princess where she accompanied with maidens. The beautiful garden has been located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. This has canopied walking lanes, lush green lawns, and magnificent fountains. Tourist feels fresh and rejuvenating after spending some time here. It is famous in all over the world for its traditional architecture and regal vibes. The beauty of this garden is enhanced by a beautiful fountain with the lotus pool having marble statue and pavilions. This place is counted in the top tourist places of India also.

Jaisamand Lake

It is the second largest artificial lake in Asia which is located in the Udaipur District of Rajasthan in Western India. The lake is spread across 100 sq. km. of the area. The lake is constructed in 17th century by Maharaja Jai Singh while there was building a dam across the Gomati River. Local people also called it Dhebar Lake.

The lake is surrounded by Jaisamand wildlife sanctuary which has a variety of rare animals and birds. The lake has clean water, beautiful scenery, and nature lover’s real paradise. The tourist goes to visit here for a peaceful time away from the turmoil of the city.
